SWORD project in a nutshell
The project
SWORD is a European project coordinated by the Knowledge Department
of the Autonomous Province of Trento, and funded by the EU programme
Erasmus Plus.
The project is carried out in collaboration with:
-
Arbeit und Leben Hamburg (organization dealing with adult training for more than 50 years);
-
BFI OOE (VET training organization in Upper Austria);
-
TNOiK of Gdansk (NGO and no-profit organization for the development and promotion of VET management);
-
Friuli-Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region
-
School Superintendency for Italian Language Schools of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano.
SWORD, acronym for “School and Work-Related Dual learning”,
focuses on the transition from school to work, in particular on the
link between VET training centres and labour world. The project
therefore aims at supporting Education and Training Centres facing
the demand/request for professional know-how coming from the economic
and productive world and to identify strategies and perspectives for
local development.
The goal is to build new models to expose students to work-based
training, creating links between schools and the labour market.
On the basis of a comparative analysis of the regional contexts and
following the dual learning experiences of the project partners,
SWORD will test pilot actions aimed at developing an integrated
approach to fully exploit the learning opportunities of a local or
even international working environment.
This blog was set up to facilitate the comparison and the information
exchange between all players directly involved in this project or
those interested in the project itself.
